YOUR LOCAL PLUMBERS

Need Local Plumbing Services?
Few people ever think they’ll have no choice but to call local plumbing services in Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Rialto, or anywhere in the Inland Empire, for that matter. Even though plumbing is a crucial part of our homes and business offices, most people rarely pay any attention to it until there is some sort of plumbing emergency.  The problem is when something unexpected happens, few people have planned for what to do to address the emergency. Unfortunately, left with an expensive problem to fix, people worry about costs and whether or not they can rely on the plumbing company they call.

In the end, we all undervalue local plumbing services until we really need their help. The article below will explore the importance of local plumbers. If you need to speak with the best rated local plumbing service in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles or Riverside areas, contact Anthony’s Plumbing for help.

Importance of Hiring a Licensed Plumber
People will often turn to unregistered or unqualified plumbing contractors in an emergency in an attempt to save money. Unfortunately, hiring unlicensed, cheap plumbing repair services will leave you more exposed to problems in the future and can often cost you even more in the long run. Simply put, mistakes happen. In the event a plumbing repair is poorly done, you will end up being the one having to pay for any damage and future repairs. Why leave yourself vulnerable? Instead, look for professionally licensed plumbers in the area. Though it’s true that you can’t always anticipate a plumbing emergency, it’s important not to hire the cheapest plumbing services you can find. Though it may be a stressful and time-consuming search, the effort you put in will be critical to gaining a successful outcome and keeping yourself protected.

Finding Local Plumbing Services You Can Trust
So, how do you find a reputable, licensed plumber in the local area? Perhaps the easiest way is to use the internet and do a quick search for ‘plumbers near me’. It’s also helpful to ask people you know for referrals. Still, if you want someone that is reliable and 100% guaranteed, you should take some additional steps and ask the potential plumber some questions. When considering local plumbers, you should create a list of questions to ask them. This will help to ensure you are going with a knowledgeable, experienced option. The first question should be whether the plumber is going to charge anything for the initial plumbing repair assessment. Plumbing estimates should always be free of charge. Next, it’s important to determine that the plumbing company is legitimate. Ask the plumber to provide you with proof of their license and insurance. This is for your protection and can help to eliminate unlicensed plumbing contractors from taking advantage of your emergency.

Anthony’s Plumbing has been helping people with their plumbing services for over twenty years. If you look at the reviews we get from our clients on Yelp, you will see a consistent image of the quality and care we provide when we come to your home or business. Our goal is to fix it right the first time at an affordable price and leave you with the comfort of knowing that you have found someone you can trust. Ultimately our goal is to be your plumbers for life. That is no easy task, to live up to a reputation like that, but we believe that when you call us, you deserve the very best. Whether it be something as simple as drain cleaning, toilet repair or faucet repair, or maybe you need a more advanced procedure like hyrdo jetting or tankless water heater installation, or maybe even garbage disposal repair, whatever the call is for, we aim to serve with the ultimate professionalism. If you need local plumbing services, give Anthony’s Plumbing a call. You’ll be glad you did.

Quick Solutions to Plumbing Problems

QUICK SOLUTIONS TO PLUMBING PROBLEMS

Have ever experienced a flood in your kitchen or bathroom? If so, there’s no doubt that you know how quickly plumbing emergencies can ruin your day. Anthony’s Plumbing offers 24/7 emergency plumbing services, but after you give us a call, you may wonder how to protect your property from further damage before we arrive at your door.

TURN THE WATER OFF

If water is rushing onto your floor, you want to stop it as quickly as possible. Here’s how:

1. Locate the main water shut-off and turn the water off.
2. Find the problematic fixture’s isolation valve to shut it off completely.
3. Turn off your gas hot water heater to prevent a burst.
4. Turn on outside faucets to redirect water to the outside.

By following these steps, you can get the flow of water under control before you try to clean up the mess.

SEAL THE LEAK YOURSELF

During plumbing emergencies, you may not have all of the tools you need to repair a pipe, if you have any at all. The fact is, with a few simple items, you can temporarily protect your home from a leak before help arrives. Use Teflon tape or epoxy to quickly seal a damaged pipe. If you don’t have these available, wrap a towel around the leaking pipe and spread more towels around the area to soak up as much water as possible. You can also use a bucket, trash can or even a cooking pot or large pan to catch drips and protect your floors from damage.

DON’T PANIC – EXPERIENCED HELP IS ON THE WAY!

Plumbing emergencies can be scary and stressful. We totally understand that. After you take the preventive actions listed above, take a deep breath. If you stay calm, you can be better able to tend to your belongings and prevent further damage to your home. Anthony’s Plumbing helps with all kinds of local plumbing problems, no matter how serious they may seem. From slab leak detection to tankless water heater repair to clogged drains to broken faucets to garbage disposal repair, we've done it all over the last twenty plus years. Give us a call at 909-823-3807, and you can rest assured that we will come to your aid as quickly as possible.

Leak Detection

Anthony's Plumbing

July 31, 2019 - Wednesday

LEAK DETECTION

Ever walk into a room in your home and there's a new lake that wasn't there before? Leaks can come from a variety of sources in or near your home. The older the pipes are, the less effective they become. If your system is aging, it may be at a higher risk of leaks. In addition, hard water, consisting of minerals and other rough materials, can eat away at the pipes and cause a small rupture to occur, leading to a leak. Depending on the material of your pipes, rusting can take place. If the rust problem is significant, it can weaken your pipes and the very pressure from the water can cause a rupture.

It is important that you find the cause quickly because leaky pipes are actually dangerous. Water that seeps out of pipes can cause a major flood, if left unattended. When the flooding is over, you are left with severe damage and mold growth. Mold is toxic to humans and animals and can cause serious respiratory problems after a few weeks of heavy exposure. Along with serious health problems, wet, slippery floors can lead to falls and other issues like bacterial infections. If your pipes are leaking, it’s wise to seek a leak detection service provider [like Anthony's Plumbing] to spot the exact location of the leak and mend the problem immediately.

When clients call us, we know that every leak is different, so we look for different signs of where the leak may be originating from like odor or sounds. Using high quality, high-tech tools, we are able to find a wide range of leaks in your home that vary by size and condition. Once we locate the source of the leak, we measure it and determine a way to fix it. With over twenty years of plumbing services experience, we are experts at finding leaks and repairing leaks, no matter where they may be. People call us when it comes to leaks because, to be honest, most leaks are not something that can be fixed by wrapping duct tape around it. Generally, fixing a leak requires a professional, and that's where we come in.

For those of you who are looking for plumbers in my area or plumbers near me, the good news is that Anthony's Plumbing services the entire Inland Empire, San Bernardino County, as well as the Los Angeles and Riverside areas. If you have a leak that needs to be repaired, we are here 24/7 for emergency plumbing services. Plumbing Services

PLUMBING SERVICES

For over twenty years, Anthony's Plumbing has been providing plumbing services throughout the Inland Empire, the Riverside and the Los Angeles areas. But with all the over-the-counter plumbing solutions available, why do people call a plumber these days? How hard can it be to clean a drain, after all? Don't they sell plungers and Drano and Liquid Plumber to pretty much anyone who has a pulse? Of course they do. The reality is, people call us because simple solutions aren't enough. You pour out the whole bottle and wait... a few bubbles... then nothing. It's very frustrating. Believe me, I know. And then there's Uncle Bob. He knows how to fix everything, or at least so he says. Three hours later, guests are starting to arrive in the living room, the sink is still clogged and Bob is beside himself, sitting on the soggy throw rug on the floor, watching YouTube videos of cats chasing dogs, or some other such thing, and that's when you go look for our magnet on your refrigerator so you can call us and get things back to normal. Maybe you'll need hydro jetting. Maybe a snake. Whatever the problem, we are experts at finding it quickly and giving you the best rates for repair. Many of our repeat clients have learned it's better to call us sooner than later. Especially when flooding is involved. Pipes burst and water starts to fill the floor and that's when things get very real. Of course the hot water heater going out when you're trying to take a shower so you can go to work is very real, as well. Those people in Alaska who cut holes in the ice and jump in, well, they are a bit different. Everyone I know likes a little hot water when they shower or bathe. And that noise hot water heaters make when they are going out, the clanking, that can be rather scary. The good news is that we don't scare easily. When it comes to plumbing, we've got your covered. Whether you need drain cleaning, toilet repair or an  emergency plumber at 3;15 in the morning, we are here for you. No matter where you are in the area and you're searching for plumbers near me, consider us your local plumbers, ready to respond wherever and whenever. Of course we also provide services when it's not an emergency. Toilet installation, shower installation, repiping, garbage disposal installation, of course water heater installation, sink or faucet installation, we do all of that and more. We offer free quotes and phone consultations, but of course for some jobs we'll need to come to your home or business to give you a more realistic quote. Any questions? Just give us a call at 909-823-3807 and let us win your trust.

Garbage Disposal

Anthony's Plumbing

July 15, 2019 - Monday

Garbage Disposal

Ever notice the bad smells coming from your Garbage Disposal? Many times, the reason is because of the food particles that get stuck in the nicks and crannies along the way. Disposals are known to crack and leak because we accidentally drop utensils or other hardened objects and grind them without knowing [like forks, spoons and knives] so check first before grinding and having the outer plastic housing crack. If you are Superman or Wonder Woman, common utensils would pose no threat, but to the average kitchen sink garbage disposal, we rely on the operator to exercise a certain level of caution.

Bottom line: It's good to always check your disposal before you turn it on. Also, cut up larger food particles, and run a lot of cold water just before you turn it on. Rather than spend a lot of money on garbage disposal cleaner, we recommend that you use Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Liquid Dish Soap, whenever possible. We do not own stock in Dawn or P&G, but we find it to be a very high-quality product. They do sell it at Walmart, as well as most other quality home product retailers. To get rid of food particles hidden in your disposal, you can also throw ice inside the disposal. Maybe a few lemon peels from time to time. Also, for the smell, clean out the hose that goes from the air gap that drains into the disposal. It is better to run your disposal regularly. If you ever need help with your disposal, or want to upgrade to a newer, better model, just give us a call. For plumbing emergencies, Anthony’s Plumbing is here 24/7 for all your plumbing needs. If you want to do it yourself, we recommend the badger garbage disposal. So, what is the best garbage disposal? Of course, the answer will vary depending on who you ask.

The InSinkErator Badger 5 is what we usually install. You can find it at Home Depot [Click Here], or on Amazon [Click Here] or if you prefer Lowes [Click Here]. Want something a little quieter? Then we recommend the Evolution Excel Garbage Disposal [Click Here]. Nothing grinds more with less noise. InSinkErator Evolution Series disposals represent the highest standard in performance.

Simply put, they are the best grinding, quietest line of disposals Emerson has ever made. We install and repair all makes and models of garbage disposals, so if you need help, just give us a call at 909-823-3807 or visit us online at Anthony's Plumbing.

Tankless Water Heater

Anthony's Plumbing

June 20, 2019 - Thursday

TANKLESS WATER HEATER

Everyone needs a hot water heater in their home, and most businesses do, as well. When choosing what to do with your water heater, is it better to repair or maintain your existing water heater, or is it better to upgrade to a tankless water heater? Did you know that nearly 30% of the average home's energy costs relate to heating water? Switching over to a tankless water heater can reduce these costs by up to 50%. Over the course of the year, that can really add up. Besides taking up far less space, they also last twice as long as a traditional water heater, on average. The thing is, there is that initial cost to factor in, but over the course of time that you are paying off your house, you'd also being paying for improvements in the systems you rely on every day.

Let's say you decided to upgrade. If you look at Home Depot and do a search for "tankless water heater" there are 523 results, as we write this. [See Results]. The cream of the crop seems to be the Performance Platinum 11 GPM Natural Gas High Efficiency Indoor Recirculating Tankless Water Heater made by Rheem. [See it Here]. As soon as I saw the word Platinum, I figured that's like better than gold.

At 11 gallons-per-minute, this unit is for larger homes. A better rated unit, and $100 cheaper is the 9.5 GPM unit [See it Here]. And what do people say about these?

In March of this year, one man wrote: "Super easy to install. We did a self-install and then contacted a plumber to connect the gas. It truly provides hot water within 30 seconds to all locations throughout the house. It is factory set to go no higher than 120 degrees, I would prefer a little bit hotter for the showers but it will do. It is saving a ton of space from the regular 50 gallon water heater I had (that was 32 years old). And I'm sure that the ROI will be seen within 2 months in lower gas usage!!"

Another man, a do-it-yourselfer, wrote: "Unit installed by me with some additional help from wife over 2.5 days in November 2016. Self-installation not for the faint of heart, but if you're organized, methodical and experienced with plumbing and electrical work, results are impressive. I contacted gas company to have meter upgraded prior to install, as adding up max possible gas consumption with furnace and other gas appliances along with max tankless water heater gas consumption exceeded original meter capacity. I replaced 50 gallon electric water heater, which made no sense to me as electric heater was located literally next to gas pipe entry into basement. I ran new gas line from meter into house upgrading from 3/4" to 1-1/4" line, which extended to within a few inches of the tankless unit before stepping down to required 3/4" line. Unit was plumbed in copper, same as original, and I added hot water recirculating loop with 6 gallon electric water heater and Taco pump, which cut down significantly on delay for hot water to reach kitchen which is ~100 ft from tankless heater. Unit plugged into computer-type uninterruptible power supply/battery backup, which provides ability to maintain operation for 90 minutes for power outages. Overall, very pleased with operating results, plenty of hot water for 2 showers and washer running concurrently. Hardest part of install was locating exhaust/intake through wall, which required holes for 3" PVC pipe through exterior brick, which took some effort with carbide hole saw, but looks good with supplied termination kit. I used Watts valves, which will allow regular service but I have water softener and 10" whole house sediment filter before tankless heater, so hopefully calcium and sediment deposition will be minimal. A big job, but well worthwhile and I would make the same decision if I had to do it again."

Realistically, with so many options to choose from, the best thing you can do is talk to us about the plumbing services you are looking for and we'll explore your options together.
